Feng Shui Tips

For years, people have sought to live in harmony with their surroundings. Feng Shui is an art and a lifestyle that focuses on our personal environment to create a harmonious living space, an architectural approach to spirituality.

Natural materials are crucial to creating a Feng Shui environment. Wood, fire, earth, metal and water: the combination and placement of these elements result in both a control cycle and a constructive cycle. These contribute to a sense of harmony and a sense of balance within one's spirit and surroundings.

Natural stone such as marble or granite provides a sense of durability and longevity while at the same time representing strength and resistance to outside forces.

In the kitchen, as everywhere else, stone may be used and tailored to counterbalance the presence of fire and validate the strength and importance of the work done there. Using granite or marble in the kitchen for counters or as a stove top is a sound decision.

Candles

Candles give off a pleasant light, attracting others with their energy: when a fire is lit, people draw near as its warmth and flames provide heat and infuse the air with a sense of health.

Salt and Stability

When placed in a small metal or ceramic bowl near your main entrance, salt absorbs the negative energy in a dwelling and transforms it to create a stable atmosphere. Salt should be changed every three weeks.
